I got a new iPad. When everything was setup I got a notice that there was a new software update. I updated my iPad using my Mac computer and the latest OS was installed, but I'm still getting the notice that (the red circle with a one) telling me that I have a software update to install. How do I get rid of that red circle? Thank you for any help. -K

Are you sure you have the latest OS version installed? Should be 8.1.1.

Otherwise, do a hard reset and see if that syncs things up better. Hold down the power button and the home button until you see the Apple logo on your screen, then let go of them.

Hi!
Thanx for responding to my post. Yes, I have the latest iOS version installed, which is 8.1.1. I'll give your solution a try and see if it works. Thank you!

P.S. Just tried it and it's still showing the red circle with the one on it.
