Generating a Still From Video

Alrighty, I'm trying to generate still images from my camcorder. Its DV (firewire). Video is on a tape, the image looks great on TV and in DVD after being edited in iMove and burned. What are my options for generating a still image for use on a website. I'm not looking for stellar quality, but the built-in feature in iMove has produced only dysmal results.

if you just need something, then just apple+shift+4 and take a screen shot of the frame.

Keep this in mind, the video image is 720*480 (basically the lowest rez you'll find on a digital camera) and is interlaced (meaning that it's two 360*240 images shown at nearly the same time to look like a single 720*480 image). so don't expect anything remotely close to the quality you'd get from a still camera, especially if there is any action or movement going on in the image.
