This passed Sunday I had recently visited the apple store in Ardmore, Pa. outside Philly. My girlfriend cracked her screen well thought she did and we have AppleCare+ so we thought it was going to be a simple screen replacement but we forgot we had glass screen protectors and her screen was actually not cracked at all... I was laughing and pissed at the same time lol... Sunday is my only day to sleep in and be a slob

Anyhow... The customer service was great. Still to to this day I hate how apple doesn’t have adequate seating for people while they wait. Going through the motions of diagnostic testing for some other issues my girlfriend thought she was having with her phones... apples customer service is top notch. I wish other companies would follow in their footsteps.

But the overall visit just sucked the life out of me. It felt too similar to visiting the service center at my dealer. Anyone else felt the same thing?

They don’t want people sitting. They want people browsing and buying things they didn’t intend to buy that day.

It used to be you could show up without an appointment. Then I guess they got too many people.

Now they overbook because they know some people will fail to show up. The result is a backlog mixed in with the regular shoppers.

It was a fairly pleasant store experience in the past. Now it's a cattle-call with too many people monopolizing the geniuses time.

More chairs would be great, but I don’t feel like I’m in a deal. However I do like playing with the stuff.

Change in Apple Stores is obvious. Seems like employee moral is not the same or perhaps people aren’t trained as well
In any case it filters down to the customer

I Think it’s a little more in depth than that... moral and maybe mentally fatigued.... imagine saying the same ole 30 customer prompts 120 times a day

Sometimes it was like trying to explain how to cook a piece of beef to a vegan.

Well, I don't like that the Apple stores don't have chairs in general. I mean I understand why, because they don't want people camped out on one of the products for an extended period of time. But still, I want a chair!

Agreed Chairs are necessary for young or old
Those blocks are uncomfortable

Sit on the floor, make a point about them not having adequate seating. They're relying on people not wanting to call attention to themselves.

And they can trespass you for doing that. A retail store of a business is not the correct place to express your point of view.

Chairs are necessary for young and old, Ok? Keep in mind, those blocks aren’t solutions for ‘long-term sitting’, they’re just there for Limited temporary use waiting to be served by an Apple employee. FTR, they’re not _that_ uncomfortable.

I really hate the one in Geneva (Switzerland). It´s always crowded and the exposition area is just next to the genius bar so you can hear how the unhappy customers complain about problems of the same products that you are looking for buying...
