My new 2018 MBP with TB was making a noise when the fan came on. I dealt with it for a long time and decided it was time to take in. I made appt. They asked the problem, I explained and let them hear it. The Mac was making the sound plus I recorded it in case it didn't. They went into the back with it for about 20 mins. Came back and said there's definitely a problem with the fan.....BUT now it does not recognize the battery. It only works with the AC adapter now. I wasn't prepared for it to be shipped out for days, so I had to leave with it and make arrangements. Grrrr!!!
