I keep reading about this new ability to do "Genius Mixes".

On my iPhone I click the Genius icon (which is too large IMHO) and it makes a playlist. Are Genius Mixes any different?

Wasn't this always a part of iTunes?

Genius mixes are created by an unknown and supposedly creative source:cool:

When you create a 'Genius mix' this unknown source will go thru your entire iTunes library of music and pick songs that it thinks should go together, and creates up to 12 mixes.
And you end up with this.......

I never use genius. It slowed my old PC to the point that it was unusable and With my macpro it's just flippin' useless.

Yup. I use iTunes DJ and pick music from one of my playlists? When I want to listen to a jazz mix,I sure don't want to hear Christmas music.
