My first thought is to get one of those small drawstring bags that you can carry like a backpack, I like those. And then either a Smart Cover or case for the iPad.

Leg pocket in cargo pants/shorts, or the top of my cooler that I carry my lunch to work in.

This. Still can't really handle guys with bags. It's a little weird even if it's the most used, crumpled canvas field bag, or a distressed leather bag. A cargo pant's pockets are is an excellent idea, but in jacket weather guys can look hot imho in something like the black one at http://www.barbour.com/steve-mcqueen-collection Many big pockets in the International line too. It was good enough for the king of cool :)

A couple of us at work were talking about various Steve McQueen movies, and one of the new guys said "isn't he that guy from the Sheryl Crow song?" We looked at him trying to evaluate if he was serious, and he was, a one line mention in a crappy pop song was the only thing the kid knew about McQueen.... I wept that day for the youth of America.....

I'm going to go with putting down the front of my pants. Can't wait for the first "Are you NOT happy to see me or is that a..." comment.

OK I know it's a joke but here is an actual picture of the mini on your belt.
The W/F mini case has a loop on the back that will fit your belt.

Carrying the ipad mini on its own is tricky as a guy. I can carry it around my neighborhood with ease naked, but I might go for some sort of manly leather case. That or the portenzo that looks like a moleskine. Don't wanna spend too much on it, so we'll see.

Most people say it fits inside a winter jacket. That's great but what happens when the weather heats up.

Just made a thread about looking for a holster to carry the mini. Anyone else think it's a good solution? Of course, it would be weird if it's worn on the outside of a t-shirt. But I intend to use it underneath my business suit which I wear on weekdays year-round.

Haven't figured out how to carry this with me on weekends. I like to walk about hands-free. Not much of a bag person.

After searching for a while, I finally found one that I feel ok. with reasonable price.

DAKINE Frankton iPad Messenger Bag

It have protection for iPad and also not too big for carrying around. I had my small size backpack with iPad compartment, but I want to use when I want to carry my iPad around.

Another reason is price, it is on sale for $19.99. Most of bags with protection and style will cause around $30+. It was steal for me!!

Check out at link below, it is limited time offer!!

I use the padster bag. Made for the full size iPad, but I can carry the mini in a case, a 13" MacBook Pro, and plenty of charts without any issue.
