Hah. There isn't enough power in USB, even from the iPad charger, to cause that to happen.

That was likely a failure in the phone, which heated up and damaged the connector plug.

And that's not a lightening cable, either way if you buy "refurbished" cables of a truly reputable site like "all4celuular" you're asking for trouble. But hey, go for it, it's not my phone.

Yes...clearly I'm saying that if you buy a cable from that site it will likely cause your phone to catch fire and then call them reputable. Want to try that again?


perhaps you mean disreputable? why would i call them reputable after they set my phone on fire? :confused:
