German version of Leopard US Macbook Pro

Does anyone know if a German version of Leopard will work on US purchased MacBook Pro?
Well, I guess my question more specifically is if I install the German version will it only be available in German language to use. I know that you can change the language of your mac regardless where you buy it, so if I install a German version of Leopard theoretically I should be able to use it, but convert the language to English in the system preferences.... Is this correct?

I'm pretty sure you can do it. My friend changed his system language from German to English with no problems (Both the MBP and Leopard were bought in Germany.).

I'm pretty sure you can do it.

Correct. I bought mine in the Netherlands, so it came preconfigured to be Dutch. I changed everything to English. Look in the System Preferences.
