I've had an initial look at the Byki one and it looks interesting to me, having a 'community' to create additional cards to use. Not dropped the money yet though as I'm still undecided wgich one to get as well. I bought the Collins dictionary though, which I like. Didn't bother with the one with sounds though, as felt that was superfluous to my requirements (and I wanted to save the space)

Is there a demo version of the Byki ?

I've just tried the German Essentials but there are only around 180 words.

Not that I'm aware of. I've just had a look around the subject.
