Gesture to put iPhone X to sleep?

Is there any other way of putting the iPhone X’s display to sleep other than letting it auto lock or pressing the right side button?

Does laying the iPhone X face down put it to sleep?

Yeah you stroke it when it's face down and it slowly sends it to dreamland!

In all seriousness though, this. Turns the display off quicker than just clicking buttons to wake and sleep.
