Only a couple on months away. But I'm seeing sales at BB now. Do you think it would be worth it to wait. My iPad Air 9.7 is working perfect for all my needs, its been Cased and Zagged all it life. Really no reason to upgrade yet,,, other than apple pen which is "Drawing" me to buy now. I take a lot of nots on my IPAD (typing no keyboard) an it would be great to just scribble with a pen as my penmanship doesn't get used now-a-days.

Do you think the Black Friday deals will be even better than the current BB Sales?

dat pun!

I wouldn't wait, actually I didn't wait, I doubt it will have much of a discount, 50$ off max. They'll probably have good deals on more consumer level iPads like the mini and the simple one.

However it might be a good time to buy accessories though.

It really depends if you're willing to wait another month or so for several tenths of dollars, in my case it didn't make sense because I really need one for school. I can't stand it's slowness anymore, but I guess I use it for more intense stuff than you.

Over the last 3-4 years, Black Friday deals have NOT been as good as the regular sales at Best Buy and Staples. With the release of iOS 11 (which offers more features for the iPad Pro than other iOS devices) that could create a stronger customer demand for iPad Pros and in turn, less incentive for retailers to discount them.

I think that we'll see $100 off being the "normal" discount sale. We might see $125 off on Black Friday. Target will do something like $100 off + a $50 Target gift card. (I don't view that as $150 off) That pales in comparison to the $150-$175 off Best Buy and Staples were doing a year or so ago.

I wasn't a big fan of the 9.7 Pro when it first came out (2GB RAM was a no-go for me), but there have been some crazy discounts recently... upwards of $250-$300 off that should give a person reason to consider one.

OP I also own an original iPad Air, and it works quite well on iOS 11. It is 4years old so it does lag, but it doesn’t ruin the experience by no means. And like yourself it handles all my tablet needs just fine.

I was going to pull the trigger last weekend at BB and save a little bit of money but I just may wait till the next one in June. Unless there are some really crazy holiday deals.

But seeing that the Apple pen is drawing you in to purchasing a pro, I think your desire to upgrade is a bit stronger than mine lol.
