How? My friend has a jailbroken original iPhone (can support up to iPhone OS 3.1.3) with iOS 5. Is it possible?

Your friend does not have iOS5. Technically, he has a modified version of iPhone OS 3.1.3. At present, whited00r (the software he's using) only supports the 1st- and 2nd-generation iPhones and iPod touches.
