So if I'm reading this correctly, if I just went to bing.com now and clicked the link for the cash back and entered my e-mail and went to the ATT site now I only have 24 hours to complete the order, or I'm SOL on the cash back????

basically. you receive a notice afterwards that the cashback has transfered and it may require a 60 day holding period but you'll get it. I still have yet to receive my email though.

Found the Bing Cashback link thru Internet Explorer. Not Firefox.
If you have AdBlock Plus installed (or other ad blockers) you have to disable it or set an exception for that page. The link is within an advertisement banner ><

Figures. But I'm SOL b/c I'd already pre-ordered yesterday.

@Gatorac

Looking at the 24hr. notice you were referring to, I do not believe you are required to purchase in the first 24 hours.

What I think they mean is each time you click on the paid advertisement (more money for microsoft), you open a new "session" which then automatically closes after 24 hours or the closing of your browser, whichever comes first. All this means is you can't leave the browser open for days making your decision. When you are ready to buy, just fire up your browser of choice and click on the paid link again.

Thanks for the clarification :apple:

Use this link: Bing Cashback Search

Then,

bingh.jpg

Looks like they wised up and removed it. There is no Bing Cashback logo next to "AT&T Official Site" when I do it.

How friggin lucky am I! ATT sent me an email saying my order was cancelled! :) I mistyped my creditcard info or something, whooo!

Now I can order from Apple.

How is that lucky...? The cash back is with AT&T, not Apple.

Still there for me...

This is what shows up for me in Safari:

Two issues

1. If there is any issue with the phone that I order through ATT online, I was told by a store rep that I would have to send in the phone to ATT and they could not help me at the store with online purchases. Is this true? What about taking it to an apple store?

2. How do you add a FAN account to online purchases? Do I go into the ATT or Apple store after buying it online?

Thank you

Because it was saying my order was backordered... which I rather not risk.. I was trying to cancel my order so I can order with ATT and I never got my cashback email either. It's usually really quick.

FYI:

Go to bing.com search ATT WIRELESS

the 35 is still showing up for me.

Thanks - I've done this before for ebay auctions, didn't think to check for this with ATT! just canceled my Apple order, and re-submitted via the ATT site. Hopefully my cash back email comes, but I'm sure it will.

I did this for an ebay auction for a Wii, I got $50.00 back, this iPhone offer will get me $100 on the 32GB 3GS, very nice!

I might be overthinking things here, but I wonder if I messed up by doing the Bing/AT&T method to get cash back before canceling my original order through Apple. For a few minutes until I canceled the Apple order, I essentially had two phones pre-ordered for $299. Would the fact that I ordered through AT&T before canceling the Apple order affect anything?

If not, what would have stopped me keeping both pre-orders and getting two phones $299? I'm sure they would have caught on eventually, but it makes me wonder if or when they would have noticed.

Either way, my main worry is that the AT&T order will be canceled if they notice I already preordered through Apple, even though that one was canceled after I ordered through AT&T.

Checked my Bing cashback account this morning and it says I've got a pending $113.50 cashback in my account. I bought a case at the same time I ordered my 3GS 32GB White Iphone and got the 35% cashbach on the entire order.

So again, how do I get this to work with my FAN?

When I got to ATT and try to enter the primer store, I get an email check. They send me an email that I need to go through to get my FAN discount.

Can I just order it through ATT/Bing normally and then call ATT to give me the FAN service discount?

Help

No email or nothing in my cashback listings just yet - hopefully it shows up soon. I ordered late last night (12:00 midnight), so I'm sure I just need to be patient :D

I got my cashback email confirmation this morning. Ordered yesterday afternoon.

Depends on your FAN service agreement, but some do allow for you to change the regular plan to the FAN discount plan midstream. I was in a similar boat. I wanted to order my phone from Apple, but decided to order directly from the Premier online site because I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting my plan changed, activation fee waived, etc.

This is what I would do (call ATT afterwards). The FAN discount can be fixed if wrong, but if one little thing is wrong with the checkout, they may try and invalidate your cashback.

To those asking if it works for signing a new contract (but not becoming a new customer), I'm not sure. Check the fatwallet thread or just try the checkout process right up until the confirmation point.

Just to verify.
If u order via ATT ONLINE - to get this offer....
They will ship your phone for arrival on June 19th, just like APPLE?

Yes. Free over night shipping is what it shows on their store when you order.
