iPod touch Get music from my iPod to stereo

I want to wireless get music from my iPod to my stereo.

Just want to make sure I have this correct, but what I need is an AirPort express, which will connect to the stereo and then i can wireless stream the music direct from the ipod to the stereo?

Is this the most up to date way of doing things?

The Airport Express is an AirPlay player. It can be controlled from iTunes or an iPad, iPod Touch or iPhone running recent firmware.
