pretty much it's just one click and your done.

No. New customer gets a hard credit pull. While current customers who are on iUP are typically soft pulls (doesn't show up on your report).

Sharing my experience with the 8. The one click at the time of actual preorder is for shipping directly to home. If you want to pick-up you have to look for the change shipping option and pick a store and time. This must also be done on the phone app. I tried to do it on my iPad but it won't let me.

It was a one click for me when I selected "Pick up at: _________ Store." I didn't had to look for the change shipping option and I was able to pick a time that worked for me.

Given the equifax breach stuff and where many people, including me, added credit freezes at the three bureaus: for a new iUP user:
(1) do we need to unfreeze at the bureaus before Oct 23?
(2) does Apple use one particular credit agency and can therefore the freeze be lifted at only that one specific agency?
(3) anything else to consider?

If you are already enrolled in IUP and you are in good standing, then you should not have to unfreeze by Oct. 23.

If you are not enrolled in IUP, then it is my understanding that you will have to unfreeze. In the past, I have been denied enrollment in the IUP because I had a freeze on my credit. This year, I have unfrozen my credit with all three bureaus. (My research indicated that you should unfreeze with all three companies because you can never be sure what agency will be used by the bank.)

I wish that were so, but all they are doing is allowing us to not be at a disadvantage waiting for credit to process just like you. So leveled playing field.
