Doesn’t seem like it but is the nano-texture version available at a discount? Wanna make sure I didn’t miss anything

Unfortunately the only way you can get the nano texture display option is either through eBay or buying directly through Apple. Third party vendors don't really sell any models with nano texture unless it's a second hand product. I looked at getting it myself through Apple. If you go to the education store the cost is $2184 for the base M5 Pro chip with the nano texture display.

The MacBook Pro laptops specifically with the Pro M series chip with the upgraded RAM and cooling are definitely a great laptop (my wife and I both have them so speaking from experience). Are they worth the $2k-ish price tag for a laptop is debatable, but they are very good.

These things will last for forever.

My 2021 era 16GB/1TB MacBook Pro M1Pro still feels plenty fast for everyday workloads. Granted that's mostly MS Office, but I still run Logic and FCP on weekends and it lunches through that stuff.

The only tangible benefit from an upgrade in my use case would be quicker 4K render times. However, since those are just a hobby - I go grab a coffee while it's rendering and it's done when I'm back!

Apple silicon is amazing!

I have an M1 Max 2tb 64 Gig of ram. still goes great. The only thing I wish I had gotten the 14". It's so heavy that I got a M2 MBA for travel. (which now became my main machine for daily tasks.)

Debating to get an M5 or wait for M6...

Well looks like I was somewhat proven wrong. Micro Center apparently sells them with the Nano-Texture display and it is indeed on sale right now at 10% for $2114.99, so only $115 more than the Amazon deal. But the catch is you'd need to buy it and pick it up at a Micro Center store if they have it in stock.

Got a souped up Macbook air from Amazon thanks to this site pointing it out (24GB ram, 1TB ssd, 10 core GPU). Selling my old M2 (also got at a significant discount!) to a friend.

An employee at Micro Center stated they can order any configuration Mac I’d like. Though I have no idea what advantages, if any, doing so would have over ordering directly from Apple.

I just snagged one to replace my collection of M2 Max Studio MAX, 14" M1 Pro MacBook Pro and 13" M1 iPad Pro.

Psst! There are lower prices out there. Amazon isn't the only place that sells them. People would be wise to check prices at other retailers. And don't forget about price matching.

14-inch is $1,979.99 @ https://www.microcenter.com/product...-(early-2026)-142-laptop-computer-space-black

16-inch is $2,429.99 @ https://www.microcenter.com/product...-2026)-162-laptop-computer-space-black?sp=144
I snagged one about a month ago when they had an insane $400 off. I got mine for $1799 price matched at Best Buy and used best Buy's 18 months 0% interest financing offer.

Great prices for both the 14” and 16”. Unfortunately these discounts are in US only and not available in my country.
