The book explores the first five decades of Apple's history, including interviews with 150 key people who shaped Apple into what it is today, like Steve Wozniak, John Sculley, Jony Ive, and more. The book launched to coincide with Apple's 50th anniversary, which just happened on April 1, 2026.

Amazon's sale is on the hardcover version of the book, and provides an estimated April 9 delivery date for free delivery. If you're on the hunt for more discounts, be sure to visit our Apple Deals roundup where we recap the best Apple-related bargains of the past week.

My first Apple product was the Apple II back in 1983, and I’ve been with them ever since. I worked less than half a mile from Apple’s headquarters, right in the heart of Silicon Valley at the time. At this point, I’m not sure there’s much in that book I don’t already know, but it would still be nice to have on the coffee table for posterity’s sake. 📖

This is a great book because it consolidates stories from 30 years of prior books about Apple and corrects the record on several old chestnuts. It’s fortuitous timing on Pogue’s part because this is the last milestone that a lot of the oldtimers originally there are still alive and lucid, and a few even died during the writing of the book.

When I was a big fan of all things Apple starting with the 512K Fat Mac I would gobble up these books. Specially anything with Pogue and Apple related stuff. Nowadays it's more like meh...only this book I still pick up and read on occasion. Helps refresh the start of the Mac.
Revolution in the Valley: The Insanely Great Story of How the Mac Was Made

ISBN-13 is 978-1982134594. That will facilitate your search on addall.com the single best place to shop for books. As of today, an Alibris bookseller has a better new price than Amazon’s. I could find no good used prices, but that should change in a few months.

That's the push I needed; thanks.

I’ve been listening on Audible and highly recommend it. I won a $25 Amazon gift card last week, so I ordered the physical book (it was $35 at the time)

I have a direct line on getting literally every book in the world for free in an instant and I couldn’t give less of a crap about this product.
