Best Buy is back this weekend with big discounts on the M2 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro, providing up to $1,000 off select models. A My Best Buy Plus/Total membership is not required to see these discounts.

You'll find both Wi-Fi and cellular tablets on sale at Best Buy, with a particular focus on the larger capacity 1TB and 2TB models. All deals listed below represent record low prices on each iPad Pro model, and many of them can currently only be found at Best Buy.

With such steep savings, these previous generation iPad Pros are worth looking into purchasing for anyone who wants to prioritize saving money over owning the newest M4 iPad Pro. There are some major differences between the two generations, like the M4's support for Apple Pencil Pro and a new nano-texture display option, so be sure to read about which one works best for you in our Buyer's Guide.

That’s a very good deal on the larger storage models! Sure new iPads are coming out but that won’t make these all the sudden useless. It’s like the iPhone 15 will still work after the iPhone 16 is released

That’s a very big discount. Especially the 2TB cellular cutting it’s price nearly in half, making it an amazing deal.
If only such deal happened at all or more often in Australia.

Wow, that is a nice deal :) I think I will replace my 1st gen 11pro with this, as M4 is a no-go for me without Smart Keyboard Folio…

These sales are definitely good values for those of us who are happy with slightly older iPad Pro's. And as I'm always pointing out, there are years of existing folios and keyboard cases out there that fit them --with very good prices.

This is a good point. The biggest perk IMO of going for the old model are the accessory prices especially Apple ones from retailers. You can fully kit out a M1 or M2 iPad Pro for the same price as maybe just a Magic Keyboard for the new one.

That 2TB cellular one is a very good deal. Even if you don’t intend to add a data plan, it’s cheaper than the WiFi model.
Not only that but the M2 iPad Pro was given additional years of support with the arrival of the M2 iPad Air. Both should lose support at the same time. Too bad I purchased an M2 Air from Apple during their Back to School promotion or I would have jumped on this deal.

Well sure but while 16 is only marginally ahead of 15, the M4 is literally double the number of generations over the M2. Twice as many generations. Relatively speaking, it’s like comparing the iPhone 16 to the iPhone 8!

I don’t think that’s how it works.

First, you’re only comparing the processor versus the entire product like iPhone 8 versus iPhone 16.

Even comparing the processor and nothing else with the hardware it’s still doesn’t work because M1 wasn’t the first generation Apple Silicon processor.

I’m sure I could pull up the comparison page on the Apple website, but I suspect M2 versus M4 is just going to be an incremental upgrade. If you have to have the latest and greatest, go buy it but if not saving $1000 might be more important for some people.

What an amazing deal! I'm thrilled to hear about the incredible discounts on the M2 iPad Pro models. It's fantastic that Best Buy is offering such significant savings on both Wi-Fi and cellular versions, especially on the higher-capacity 1TB and 2TB models.

I’m like 80% sure they were being sarcastic.
