Getting 20 friggin hours out of my M1 Air battery!!

Had my M1 Air for a week now and first full use on strictly battery power, got me 20 hours of life (writing and internet usage.) That's unbelievable! For comparison, my 2018 Air regularly got about 10 hours of life out of its battery. Yeah, I get that this number will probably drop with age, but hey, for now, I'm beyond thrilled. I can crank away on this thing for days and days before I need to charge it again. Good job, Apple!!

Yep, same for me! I charge like every 3rd day - mostly Zoom calls and internet. I'm very happy with the M1 MBA so far!

Has anyone been able to make a cup of coffee with the M1? It seems to be about the only feature missing!

That's pretty good. With my 2019 I get about 5 hours now (with battery capacity at 80%, screen brightness about 55-60%).

That is very impressive. And even though the Air is 13”, the long battery life makes it more portable, for those in need.

You can't even melt the ice in a drink because the M1 dissipates so little heat. It is worthless as a cooking appliance.

Unlike the Intel Air that could boil water and cook an egg in under 60 seconds while adding two lines of a spreadsheet.

I’m loving my Air!! Today got 6 hours of screen time and it only dropped 15% so awesome!
 
Down to 10% charge this morning and battery reports 3 hours of usage remaining. Probably not realistic, but hey, pretty impressive none-the-less. Gonna hook the AC adapter up now, so I'll never know anyway.
