I can't get this silly iPod Touch into recovery or DFU mode. I turned it off, and plugged in while holding the home button and it just loads up as normal. If I try to put it in DFU it just turns off and after 3 seconds the screen turns off but nothing happens.

I never had such issues with previous iPod touches. Any ideas?

Here's how I put mine into DFU.

1. TURN OFF IPOD!!!! (Do NOT plug it in or have it turned on!!!!!!!)
2. HOLD BOTH the HOME & LOCK buttons for 10 SECONDS
3. RELEASE LOCK button, but KEEP holding HOME for another 10 SECONDS!
4. **After home has been held for the extra 10, just release it, should be in dfu.

Followed exactly you should be in DFU, not followed exactly I'm not sure if you could accidentally damage your device or not. Take caution.
