I've never seen a apple laptop with 4 cycles on it being new unless it was a refurb. They always have ZERO cycles. Most likely this was a return to Best Buy and they rewrapped it. Not good.
It’s not unusual at all to have a low single digit number of cycles on a brand new factory sealed MacBook battery...

OP in your case it’s probably best to use it a while and see if all is well or you notice anything unusual (unexpected shut offs; noticeably short battery life etc) - the batteries are warrantied and it’s possible Apple may replace it for you (though their criteria is 80% at 1000 cycles I believe so don’t take that as a guarantee)

Got mine for less than a month and it came with I believe 1 cycle, but the capacity was at 97%. After a few charges it now reads 98%. What's weird was that although I never did a full discharge of the battery, the count cycle seems to be quite aggressive, such as a 20% charge would count towards a charge cycle. I'm in the same boat, as I did receive a brand new unit, that sat idle for over 140days, but unless there's something wrong, it won't be going back.
