Well my 21st b-day is coming up soon and I am considering buying a mac but I have a few questions.

This is what I will use the mac for.

-surf the net
-music
-a little photo editing

everythign else I will stick with doing on my pc.

What I want.

Black Macbook
1 gig or 2 gig ram.

I have looked at places like macmall.com and customized a mac with preinstalled parallels with vista just because I thought I could have the best of both worlds even though osx is the #1. When I customized it it came out to be around 1600. That is a lot of money for what I am gonna be doing. So my question is where is a good place to get a used mac? I know apple has some refurbished ones but that is about the only place I know other than ebay. I have looked at the buyers guide and I may wait a little longer to see when all the new crap comes out leopard/ santa rosa whatever that is that everyone is talking about. Hope you guys can help me make a decision.

Thanks.:) :apple: :)

If you still have a PC, why do you need Windows Vista on your MacBook? Just get the MacBook you want and use your PC for those Windows tasks. For what you want even the entry level MacBook would be fine. If you want the BlackBook... well, then you just HAVE to spend more. It's not fair but that's the way it is. Honestly, I'd just swallow my pride if I were you and get a white one to save money. You won't need the extra performance for what you'll be doing and it'll save you coin.

Well I got an extra version of vista cause it sucks so bad no one wants it so I thuoght I would install parallels or bootlogger or whatever that crap is called and run both the os's but ya I will probably just look around for a white one for around a 1000. You know any good sites to get a nice used one or what not?
