Getting Bluetooth and wireless on my eMac?

the 1.25 and 1.42 used the newer style airport extreme wifi card. LINK/Pics
the bluetooth card was optional and separate. you need a 922-6876 card, and then will also need the 922-6402 antenna kit.
this is why most decide to go with the USB options. add the wifi AE card, get a USB bluetooth adapter, and save yourself a lot of work and money. best of luck.

i only know that the bluetooth was a optional extra and had be ordered on purchase , but this little bluetooth board is available from various sources , but i am not sure where on the logicboard it should go ,as i was never interested in bluetooth
the airport express is the one you need for your 1.42 fitting the airport is simple just open the flap of the dvd drive there you see 2 screws , unscrew and take the cover off and you see a slot for the airport express card , but there is a catch which leads to nervous breakdowns :
just pushing the card in there does nothing you have to push in really hard an lose any sense that tells you to stop pushing in fear of breaking something ,until the emac starts moving on the desk, to make sure its seated proper push it along the desk for a foot or more ,until you are absolute sure that the card will not move any further in 🙂
then connect the aerial which should lay around in there and you should have airpot express showing up in about this mac more info

BT module socket is located under Faraday plate, in left part of logic board, next to telephone modem module.
Getting this antenna kit for BT is PITA (at least in my country).
Like others said: get Airport Extreme card and BT USB dongle, unless you'll have opportunity to get original BT board and antenna kit.
BTW, didn't you think about overclocking this 1.42? It's doing great @1.92 GHz.

I see those extremely cheap BT adaptors on Amazon but I have no idea if any of them work. Have any of you guys used one that you would recommend? No I haven't overclocked mine but I hear they can run well at 1.92 ghz but I really don't won't to screw anything up with my soldering skills.

I use the D-Link DBT-120 bluetooth USB dongle for my old iBook G4 and it works great. I would certainly recommend that over trying to find the original internal hardware. I think I got mine for ~$40 or less (could be wrong it was a while back).
