My goal of my new MBP is getting closer, I just sold my iSight 😀

Isn't it exciting. I couldn't wait to get mine. Especially if you are a poor college student like myself who had to save every penny to get this nice work of art. You will love it. I hope you are blessed with a problem free machine.

LOL - i'm almost 20 years from being the College student that took a MacSE (running system 6 I think) to school - and was the only person she knew with her own computer and printer 😀. My Dad used my edu discount to buy himself a fancy new MacII (color!!!) since I took HIS SE. But hey, that Imagewriter was awesome!! Especially with the color ribbon! It rivals my new Epson R1800! ROFL!!!

Now I am a stay-at-home Mom to 3 girls that homeschools, 2 of the girls were diagnosed with lifelong Medical issues a year ago. It will take me awhile to save up - heck, if i could skip health insurance payments for a few months i'd be set 😀

I'll get there - enjoy yours. They sure are pretty!!!!! 😀

woo!! I can have mine either around the 8 of Feb (by not waiting 2 weeks until I get paid again.. which I am REALLY considering) or around the 25 of Feb. I'm so excited its sad. Then again my imac5 died so I've been working on my mom's 800 mhz imac g4 with 256 ram. 😱 and lets just say it is very hard to wait! 😀

How's that saying go.... "You've come a long way baby!" 😀 I bet my Imagewriter would still work if i had a clue where it was! LOL!! The Video crapped out on the SE, I used it until it died then bought a Quadra 610 with Dos compatibility card. Wohooo!!!! I don't think i ever RAN "dos" on it though! LOL!!!

I just typed a letter on my iBook - 800mhz G4 running 10.3.8 with 256. I feel your pain!! I gave it to my DD for school, but i don't have Word on the eMac because I can't find the stupid disk to reinstall it. UGH. So here i am at G4 1.25mhz with 1gb RAM. Slightly better - but never "great".

Off to go dream about my new computer!

I've been saving up cash that I would have spent on cigarettes, you can see what I'm up to now in my sig below...

And I sold all kinds of stuff on Craigslist.. xbox, guitar pedal, ski's, shoes.....ha ha,

I'm gonna pull the trigger after Feb 20th, waiting till then to see if iLife or 10.5 get announced...

ooh! Congrats! That's awesome (about the cigarettes thing). Damn, forgot about Feb 20... Well class starts on Feb 20, so I can wait until the 25 to get my MBP 😀 That way at least I know when to save up $$ for ilife or leopard. (I'm getting a refurb I think)

Hmmm! I'm on day 393 of no cigs and I still want my MBP!

Yep! 393 days without a "gasper" and I still hang out for my MBP.

I couldn't wait any longer and weakened, buying a 1.5 17" PowerBook as a consolation but unfortunately it doesn't work very often! It does however allow me to imagine using the MBP.

Now I have decided to sell my G5 Dual 2.0GHz, 20" Cinema, !.5GHz PowerBook and hopefully come close to being able to afford my MBP.

Meanwhile I can only imagine the joy of unpacking it.....the smell of styrofoam packaging and unseasoned printed circuit boards warming up for the first time.........arr I think I need to take a short break right about...now .....
