Hi,

for a few weeks every time I try to sync my iPhone, it syncs correctly, then it starts performing the backup, and after several (and I mean SEVERAL) minutes, when the progress bar almost reaches the other end, I get an error screen that states: "AppleMobileBackup.exe has encountered an error and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvinience." Backup stops and iPhone finishes synching. Has anyone experienced that error before? It has become very annoying, thought that it would stop when I upgraded to 2.02 but it was still there.

Has anyone experience this error? By the way, it is an iPhone 3G 16 GB, not jailbroken.

Something similar was happening to me. I fixed it by setting the iPhone to NOT sync any of my photos (I know, seems unrelated). Then I re-synced and it backed up fine, and synced fine. After that I could add my photos back.

That's weird, but sometimes weird stuff happens with this devices. I'll try this, will let you know if it worked.

Thanks for the reply.
