Getting IMAP mail from previous system

Hi after a clean install of Snow leopard server, I'm wondering if there is way to retrieve my imap mail from the previous system (10.5.8)? I looked at the migration PDF from apple and am hoping there is a clearer instruction somewhere. thanks

If it’s IMAP it should be on the mail server - just reconfigure mail and everything should be fine.
