Hello everyone,
This is really crazy, i've tried a hundred times, and can't get my phone into DFU mode to restore.
Recovery mode with iTunes logo is ok, but no DFU, my phone simply starting showing me Apple logo and reboot.
By the way, each iphone related website says different methods for DFU mode, but none of them working for me.
I'm trying on macbook pro 2018 15" with usb-c to lightning cable.

I had a problem with my previous Xs Max and luckily I came across the post below. I was getting different answers from different sites. Hopefully it works for you like it did for me.

Thanks, but could you tell exactly what you pressed? by steps, because i can't do it anyway

1. Open iTunes
2. Plug the lightning cable to the phone
3 press the volume up button
4. Press volume down button
5. Press and hold the lock button until the screen turns black
6. Once the screen turns black release the lock button and press it again together with the volume down button and hold them for 5 seconds
7. Once you reach 5 seconds, release the lock button and continue to hold the volume down button until iTunes shows a message saying it has detected and iPhone in recovery mode.
8. From there you can have iTunes automatically download and install the latest build or you can manually install the ipsw file for your phone.

Hope that helps

Thanks all, the problem was Apple USB-C to Lightning cable.
I don't know why, but i've connected usb-c adapter to my mac, and through old usb-a to lightning cable with that adapter it worked. Weird Apple.

Confirmed. I wish I would have seen this earlier. I would have saved tons of time!
