I'm interested in getting my iPhone 5c back to iOS 7 through whatever means necessary. I just wanted to run it by you guys and see if this is a possibility.

Appreciate it.

Well you need the iOS 7 file, the iTunes app on your platform (PC/Mac), and some luck.

Jailbreak and use CoolBooter. You can then untether.
Thanks for the tip.

My desire to run ios7 on an iPhone 5c is solely to make it faster. Won't running ios7 by dual booting defeat the purpose because it will be slow?

Coolbooter is the same speed as a normal IOS installation.

Correct. The parent iOS speed is what i do not want. Running iOS 7 at the slower speed that iOS 11 would be on an iPhone 5 is completely pointless for what i'm after.

No, a coolbooter running IOS 7 will be the same speed as a normal IOS 7 installation.
