Not to hijack the thread, but on the topic of mice. Which of do yall recommend. Or are they essentially the same

Kensington Ci65m
or
Kensington Ci75m

Right now Best Buy is having a deal on the Ci75m for $20 and the Circuit City the Ci65m for $10.

Figured I'd get a response on here first. Mainly going to be used on a MBP for graphic design work. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Neither. A mouse with a dongle sucks.

Get a v270.

I decided against using the rebate, since it doesn't apply to any laser printers, and just ordered my laptop, a refurbished shuffle, 30gb iPod, Agent 18 VideoShieldKit, 15" inCase Nylon Platinum-Grey Sleeve, the respective AppleCares (minus for the shuffle), and of course, expedited shipping.

First Mac of my own.

:D

Like others have said, it's personal preference. I love my Bluetooth Mighty Mouse, though.

I second this opinion. The bluetooth mighty mouse is excellent. You dont need to clog up a usb port for any recievers or what not and its very light and exteremely useful with the 360 scrolling ability. And remember you can run this on 1 battery instead of 2 to make it lighter if you wish.

I was hoping for something a bit cheaper than the mighty mouse. I just spent close to three grand on all my computer stuff. And don't want to spend the extra $50 if I don't truly have too.

I would hold off on as much as you until you get into the dorm room.

I bought a printer when I first started school, but once the first cartridge ran out, I stopped using it. I started printing while on campus, for free.

Also, maybe hold off on getting a second mouse. You may find that you don't ever really want a mouse with you when you're mobile, track pad may work out just fine.

I understand getting very excited about school but don't forget you have to get books and such which will be very expensive.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. College comes with many costs thats not included in the tuition, and you'll be surprised when you spend up to $500 extra for books and other misc. things per semester!

As others have suggested, you might want to hold off on the printer, speakers, and mouse for now until college starts. You'll still have time to decide then if you really need it. Plus you might as well wait till Black Friday for some extra deals.

As far as computer accessories that you should buy now, that includes the external storage device (Flash & HD) and a security lock/cable. A USB flash drive to transport your papers and such (which you will definitely need) and external HD to back up important papers and documents. And a security cable/lock is a must on-campus for our MBP.
