Working from home I have my macbook pro setup with a 2 external monitor through a sabrent displaylink.

The problem, however, is that when I try to edit video in BlackMagicDesign's Davinci Resolve, the video doesn't show up while editing.

I think it may have to do with my laptop's screen not turning off when I close the lid and plug into the 2 exteranl monitor setup.

The monitor with the 'X' on it is the laptop screen.

How do I, while plugged into the 2 monitors, kill the 3rd (laptop) screen?

Posted to the Davinci Resolve forum as well.

Thanks

Close the lid, attach a keyboard by USB. Press space bar. Internal screen should go off, but external monitors should turn on.

And by 'USB Keyboard' do you mean the Sabrent displaylink? Or does it HAVE to be a keyboard? FYI the keyboard is connected via Sabrent.

It should work as long as the computer can get the keyboard signal. Just close the lid and hit the space bar. That should wake the computer.

Sounds like a problem with the computer. There’s no way it should keep the screen on when the computer is closed.
