Getting rid of bad iphone apps

I downloaded the app 'Todo' on to my iphone and it crashed badly after a few days of intense use. Now I can't do anything with it. Does anyone know how to delete apps from the iphone?

Hold the icon with your finger for about 5 seconds. You'll get a little 'x' you can click to erase it. Hit 'home' to exit that mode.

Also check out your itunes to make sure your not syncing all apps or it will be re-installed on your next sync.
