oh. well then what are the white and clear plastic things the touch came with?

the white plastic thing is a attachment for ipod docks that you buy separately I think.. because the iPod touch's size may be different then the dick itself so it is a perfect fit attachment.

As for the plastic clear thing. its some sort of stand for the ipod that you can put it on somehow (not to sure how because im yet to get one but i remember reading about it)

The clear plastic thing is supposed to be a stand.. Not a good one (keeps falling over) but I guess they had to put something in there.

The white thing I got was an insert for the universal dock.

the stand works great. You're only suppose to use it in the horizontal position (for watching videos and other things like that.) the white plastic thing is there so you can put the iPod touch in a dock that was made for the iPod video/classic. The iPod touch and the iPod video have slightly different dock sizes due to the difference in thickness. The white plastic thing allows the ipod touch fit into larger docks.

I have a question I have the 2nd gen of iPod
I was wondering what is the difference between the 1st and 2nd?

Oh and another question is there any way where I can listen to my music and like set it to an hour and it will automactically shuts off

Oh I guess I have more than two questions actually would your alarm still work if you turn off the ipod for example I set my alarm at 6 am and I turn it off for the night would my iPod turn on to wake me up?
