Getting video from iPhone to Mac

I don't peruse this sub-forum (I'm usually on the photography forum). Video usually isn't my thing. Forgive me if this has been asked and answered in another thread 🙂

What is the best way to get a video shot on my iPhone onto my Mac and into iMovie for editing?

Emailing it to myself? Does iTunes let you do this? Is there a way directly from iMovie with my iPhone connected for syncing?

I'm possibly being dense here, but just wondered if there was a direct and easy way to do it.

Use iPhoto when you hook up your phone, it'll download the video.

Thanks, I'll try that. I usually use Aperture and it doesn't import video.

Just noticed that Aperture does import it. My bad. Found my video in my Aperture files and was able to export to desktop. Thanks though for your response.
