Today I figured out a cool thing that you can do in dashboard. when you click and hold on a widget, and hit the dashboard function key (F4 for me) you can then put it on the desktop. Very cool but you cant really open any windows without the widget covering them. My question is how can I get the widgets to stay under the windows?

Unfortunately I can't answer your question but thanks so much for telling that little trick with the widgets its awesome. In return I'll tell you one, this might amuse until you sort out the widget problem. With most animated actions on OS X (Opening/closing of a stack, minimizing of a window etc) you can put them in slow motion by holding Shift as you click on the button that starts the animation. Hold Shift and minimize this window, you'll see what I mean.
