Getting Youtube Videos to my Iphone?

I have been trying to get do this and I can't seem to find a loophole. is there currently any way to get successfully download videos from youtube to my iphone and be able to watch them at anytime offline?

Ive been using a program called Macx youtube downloader for years then putting the downloaded videos into a folder that iTunes then syncs to my phone.

There are several good paid YouTube stream capture/conversion apps available via the Apple App Store.
