gfxcardstatus crashes 2011 MBP when switching (lion)

Is anyone else having this issue? Gfxcardstatus, whenever I try to toggle between integrated/dedicated, will crash the MBP and I need to hard restart it.

It's been going on since Lion. In Snow Leopard, never an issue.

If this affects anyone else, is there a fix?

Version 2.1.

Just tried it again, switched from the ATI to intel, screen goes black (keyboard remains lit). Screen doesn't light up again until I hard reboot it

2.1 is fine with my 15" HiRes 2011 with Lion

Thanks to the feedback in this thread, I moved away from thinking gfxcardstatus is the issue and started testing things. Seems like i tracked the problem down to Insomiat. If I enable it after rebooting, gfx switching causes a black screen.

Anyone know of an alternative to insomiat so closing the lid won't cause the MBP to sleep?
