It looks like it is going to have 1 gb of ram after all.
Rumors are useless..

I know they don't usually mention RAMs but still, I think they would've mentioned it if the new ipad air 2 had a 2gb of ram

They've never mentioned RAM, so why would they start now? Makes no sense, 2 gigs is hardly ground breaking anyway.

It was never mentioned likely because they don't want the iPhone to look bad.

I'm almost positive it will have 2 GB of RAM to help with the bigger GPU and memory bandwidth.

They never mentioned about RAM in previous releases as well so don't jump out of your seat yet.

Anyway Apple is giving me more than what I ask for today. Didn't expect any much change beside touch ID, A8X, and improved camera. Last year I was confused between mini and Air. This year Apple helps me to choose.

Good points, also there were leaks about the 2GB of RAM modules.

Ok, I need to stick with my Nexus. No 2GB of RAM? No Retina HD Display with curved edges? 16gb starting price? I mean this iPad Air 2 is maybe up to date until the beginning of 2015, but no more. The competitors are pushing much further and faster....

I just skimmed over the specs in the new iPad Air 2 page on Apple's site and it's amazing. But I can't believe they didn't drop the thinness on the iPad mini to match, so the Air is now 1.4mm thinner than the mini, and 0.8mm thinner than the iPhone 6, which matches it with the iPod Touch as the thinnest iOS product in Apple's lineup. It also officially is now under 1 1b (not sure why they didn't touch upon that on the keynote, but maybe I missed it?).

This, along with Touch ID is more than enough for me to upgrade to the Air 2 from the Air and definitely makes it an even more appealing purchase over the mini than ever. Can't wait till the store is up and for pre-orders to go up. :D

This was part of Apple's strategy, make the Air 2 look by far the best purchase, it also happens to be the most expensive. Mini 3 with A8 and thinner would surely detract sales from the Air 2.

If it is indeed a marketing strategy rather than a real technical hurdle, then it's definitely working. I can't wait to hold this bad boy.

You seem to really want it to be 1 GB for some reason?

Look at the bright side. Probably this guy really wants Apple to give iPad 2GB but he doesn't want to get disappointed by bad surprise. Apple does give bad surprise sometime in regards to RAM size.

I know if you set expectations low you're less likely to be disappointed. But this guy is posting in multiple threads that it's 1 GB without any proof (actually the leaked RAM modules and the leaked circuit board all point to 2 GB).
