Since upgrading to High Sierra on my 2015 13" MBP I have encountered a weird problem that seems to be occurring with some regularity.

Sometimes, when I drag and drop files from one folder to another, a residual "ghost" image of the files icon appears on the desktop and will sho above any other window I open.

I saw something about this in another thread but didn't see any solutions. Has anyone else had this issue and have you figured out a way to get rid of the "ghost" image short of rebooting?

If it happens again, try "killall Dock" and "killall Finder" in the Terminal - the two will automatically restart, and I think it'll solve your issue - not long term, just clearing up these ghosts when they arrive - don't know why you're having the issue in general.

Killall finder was all I needed to do, thanks. Weird though. It happens pretty often.
