It makes the SMS sound but no text is there lol. It barely ever happens so idk what it means. Anyone get it.

It happens, its when you access SIM applications.
Black background, sorta fade in, and Green and Red buttons.
There was no text. Unless I hit close and the number one was on the Sms appcauze I didn't actually read it yet. Would it still remind u then or no? Is that what you mean
No this actually happens. Its a bug not a feature. For example when i activate phones in my store the customers iphone rings like if they got a new text but all you see in the home screen is a red circle like if you have a missed call. But its not a missed called its just a red circle with no number inside of it. Idk its weird but its a bug.
Also sometimes when you receive a text, you will see it on the screen. Once you slide to unlock you will hear the new text sound. I tried restoring completely and it doesnt fix it. Oh and its not only on my phone its on other phones as well.
Ps: im talking about 3gs and 3g.
Idk if I'm coming through clearly. My phone will make the SMS alert noise. I look and see no new text. I haven't checked to see if it's a text I hit close on and maybe the badge with number one is on my SMS app. Would closing a text and not viewing it cause it to repeat also? For some reason this very rarely happens. I think on 2.01 or whatever the firmeware was before 3.0. It would also happen but like I said very rarely. Maybe it's cause I hit close and don't view the texts but idk. I think I remember people saying this happened to them too. I have restored as new phone recently so it can't be that. It's probably from closing a text and the badge is there and it is probably alerting but not sure if that can happen.
Yes, this happens on my phone a few times a week. Or at least on my 3G it did, not on the 3GS....yet.
maybe you haven't noticed it on the 3gs. so wait has this bug been in it before 3.0 or what? im confused? what do you guys actually experience.
nah i would know if it was a voicemail. honestly it seems like all the alerts are messed up in some way or another.
