Gift Card Payment Option Missing

Anyone else get to the purchase and not have an option to use gift card? I have a huge amount on one and I need to use it so not going to purchase ti without being able to use it.

I had no problem using 3 gift cards from the apple website when I order my 16 inch MacBook Pro

I spent an hour on the phone with Apple. If you choose the new Applecare plus plan with an annual subscription you cannot do this right now. They told me it could be added after you get the computer.

I read on another thread you can’t use your gift card balance if you have apple care on your order. No idea if that is true however when I ordered I had a crap load in gift cards in my apple account and no issues using (but I’m buying apple care later)

I had AppleCare on my order. it wasn’t the annual subscription though. It was the 3 year option.

I had preloaded some of my gift cards into my Apple account but I used 4 other gift cards with no problem. I'll buy AppleCare in a few weeks.

yes; there is a deadline for the purchase but for almost any device (as far as I’m aware) you can add Apple Care post purchase.

Apple recently suspended the use of GC for most products that were recently products, that includes but not limited to, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPad Mini and Apple Watch. Seems it's due to product shortage and the recent financial call.
