Gifting App Issues.

Hey people. I am using an apple id without the credit card. Now i want to buy a few apps but i dont have a credit card. So i am planning to ask my friend with credit card to gift the apps using "gift this app" option in app store. I just want to know if this works in india. How do i get the apps gifted by my friend. Urgent help required.
Also suggest me some 10-15 very good apps that i can ask my friend to gift. Thank u.

Can you not just buy an iTunes Gift Card? This would be much easier and would give you more control.

Yea. Thats the best option in U.S. The sad part is we don get itunes gift card here in india. I just want to know if this can be done. Thanx.
