Gimp; Please Help Me

    I keep trying to eject it but it will never let me and always says its in use! I deleted all files to do with it, plus X11. and the error message saying that the disk "GIMP" is in use and could not be ejected" is still there. I did quit all apps and it's really bothering me. Sometimes I get another message about Gimp2.4 or something like that is in use and cannot be deleted.
    This is frustrating, please help me.

    my optical drive eats every disc i insert into it
    the only thing that works to get the discs out is persistence.

    try holding down the mouse key as your computer restarts. that doesnt work for mine though, but i hear it is supposed to.

    i shake my macbook on her side and whack the optical drive to make it spin and eject

    crude, but effective.

    The disk is OK, its just when you log in and oyu try to eject the software , ya know? Under Macintosh HD; that's what I can't eject.
