Put on the 1st three and fool around with her throughout the presentation and not miss much; then take her to the local multiplex to see Rouge One.

Enjoy a wonderful night together and get up the next morning, bring her breakfast in bed with a Mimosa and watch 4, 5, & 6.

Bathe in the appreciative attention she showers upon you for exposing her to such an integral part of your life.

Act like there was no EP 7

I've now given this some serious thought. Watch episodes 4, 5, 6. Then watch the last 20 minutes of episode 3. Then move onto episode 7. 1, 2, and the majority of 3 are irrelevant.

Episode III
Rogue One (Episode 3.9)
Episode IV - VII

Skip Episode I and II altogether.

I started with The Empire Strikes Back. Still the best SW film ever made. I went from Ep 5, 6, and then 4. I preferred 6 and 4 more early on but 5 is clearly better than both in everything. It also had "Imperial March" and "Han and the Princess" themes that ANH lacked.

I also did enjoy The Force Awakens in my first viewing because I saw it in IMAX 3D which is way better than just Real 3D. But after like a dozen times replaying it at home, it is still a fun movie but JJ played it safe rehashing ANH's story. Gareth did a better job with Rogue One although I will say I do like TFA slightly more.

VIII will likely surpass both VII and Rogue One but maybe never catch any of the OT films. I miss Carrie. Watching When Harry Met Sally and she is in it. Without Han, Leia, Yoda, and Darth Vader, Star Wars just doesn't feel the same to me anymore. I like Rey and Kylo Ren, but the humor is lost on me now that Han is gone and Kylo Ren just isn't scary like Vader. Any Star Wars after the OT will never be my Star Wars for my generation that we grew up on. The cast was so much better in them.

My girlfriend had never seen Apocalypse Now, and I wished I had never seen it too, well at least the 3-hour long new director cut or whatever edition. It started off as normal but overall was exceedingly tedious. There was a needless scene taking a meal at the house of a Dutch plantation owner in Cambodia, and another extremely absurd scene where they had unseen sex with dancer girls in a helicopter covered in Playboy stickers, whilst all the while everyone was molly-coddling some white pigeons. Painful to watch. Avoid, unless you are a fanatic, have nothing better to do with your life or are a sucker for punishment.

Of course this is only my own personal opinion and it is not cast in stone for everybody to bow down to and accept as law.

On the other hand, the original version will always be preferable to any Star Wars film, in my opinion.
