My girlfriend and I share iPhone location via “Find My.” She recently setup a new iPad. Her location now shows her iPad location rather than her iPhone. Could this have been done automatically, or does one have to intentionally change the Find My location to another device manually? 🧐

Whichever device she wants to use as her primary location needs to have settings/iCloud/find my/ use this location set to this device..

I suppose when she logged into one of the iCloud services a dialog box may have appeared asking if she wanted to use the iPad as her location.

She just needs to go to Find My on her iPhone > Me and select her iPhone as the shared location device.
