normally i only post when i have something to complain about (dont we all? :D)

but this time i just want to state how outstanding applecare is.

i accidentally closed it on my juul, given its black on black its hard to see sometime, that created a gap between the hinge and the screen, i told apple what happened and they state its not a problem and will cover it under my cosmetic "defect" on my 3 year applecare, and since its going in for repair, i ask them if they can check out the battery as well since i'm noticing i have been attached to the wall socket more often than prior.

now here is the part that really excel my expectation.

-Tuesday night: i created the case with apple support
-Wednesday morning: i got the shipping box from apple, promptly dropped it off at 5pm.
-Thursday morning: got a email told me they have received the shipment and the repair has been completed and shipped (WTH?!)
-Friday morning: fedex delivered.
___battery cycle 0,
___new top case where previously i had scratches on,
___the hinge does not have a gap now

they fixed things i didn't even ask for?

does apple hire ninjas now? apple has been taking direction in their design approach that i don't agree with cough*butterfly keyboard*cough. but their repair service is on another level, as long as you are in warranty:apple:

No replies huh? Ugh seems people in here are in total whine mode lately.

Have always had pretty good experience with AppleCare.

Nice to hear that Apple took care of you! Just to add to the positive vibe, Apple recently replaced the keyboard for my '16 iPad Pro for free - outside of warranty. This was after spending a good amount of time w/ tech support to determine if it could be fixed. There was a well known problem with the keyboard but I felt that Apple earned my loyalty by remedying it. Any other company would've gladly directed me to purchase a new keyboard and buy a warranty. I heart apple. They are not perfect but went out of their way when it counted for me.

ha i bet if if this thread is about me criticizing apple it would been 3 pages by now.

but its fine, i didnt make this thread to see what kind of replies i get, just want to throw it out there that when apple takes care of you, they REALLY go the extra mile. i really thought i would be without my laptop for at least a week or two, something i experience many times with pc manufacturers including dell.
