Your out of there quick and you get reward zone points. I just got my premier silver rewards card and I got a crap load of points when I bought my MBP :)

What kind of rewards can you get for a $600 iPad purchase? I don't shop at Best Buy so I would be banking on my one iPad purchase for any rewards. Can I get enough credit to buy a Smart Cover or am I thinking to greedily?

I think you would get about twenty bucks of reward points, but those wouldn't be available instantly. You have to wait a month or so to get credit for your purchases.

Easiest choice: Best Buy.

- They pay their customers by the hour, no pressure
- They own Futureshop, they are top dog
- Their warranties are unbeatable and stable
- They usually get iDevices 5 hours earlier

- I used to be an Audio guy for BB.

Next best would be futureshop, target and walmart.. please do not.

You get a point for every dollar spent and 250 points = $5. So $600 would be 600 points which would equal $10 rewardzone certificate and 100 points left over. If you have the Best Buy Mastercard I think you get double points on purchases, but I don't know for sure.

BestBuy.

BB is 15 minutes away... Apple Store is an hour away, plus higher taxes.

Hmm, not really worth it for me but I guess it's better than nothing.

If I had the option, I'd definitely go with the Apple store. I like launches (especially iPhone) becuase of the atmosphere. It's hundreds of people who share the same passion. Their workers are well informed, & very considerate 99% of the time. I think it's pretty neat. :D

Unfortunately, I live three hours from the closest Apple store. I'll be picking mine up at the closest Best Buy store, which is 40 minutes away.

West Virginia.

Where in WV do you live. I live in the northern panhandle. I will most likely head to the Apple Store at South Hills Village in Pittsburgh, PA. It is about a 45 minute drive to the store.

I have been there for launches several times over the past several years and I agree it is a fun experience.

I live a little south of Huntington, WV. I've gone to Kenwood in Cincinnati & Oxmoor in Louisville.

"We love our users so much we've built 300 Apple retail stores for them -- Steve Jobs" (Do people actually believe this crap? )

Decoded translation: "We love our users *** MONEY *** so much we've built 300 Apple retail stores for them -- Steve Jobs"

No wonder there are lines so long.. anything to please Uncle Steve :)

I'm using my MBP and ordering online. A mere minutes and I'm done with it.

I wouldn't get within a mile of the bleeping store.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Remember the iPhone 4 launch? Both Apple's and AT&T's websites were constantly crashing ALL DAY LONG. I sat there refreshing the page for 90 minutes before I finally got through. That was for Pre-orders. I believe they sold out on the first day or so. Now there are no preorders. You're going to be stuck with the people who would have preordered online, AND the people who want to order online on day one. That being said, I will buy online on a Mac at BB if they are sold out right away...

I wish I had an Apple store near me. My choices are Walmart and AT&T, or I can cross the state border and buy at Best Buy where MN sales tax is higher, but I can get RZ points.

I would want to buy it from the Apple store in Shanghai. I think it would be fun..
