Given error when trying to register for FaceTime

    I'm trying to set up FaceTime. I entered my apple ID and password and kept getting this message: The server encountered an error processing registration. Please try again later.

    I'm not sure why or what's going on. I just email Apple but not sure when I'll get a response. Anyone else having or had trouble as well?

    My computer software is all up to date.

    I want to get this working asap. Thank you.

    Even it will sound curious, but I faced the same problem once... and the problem was caused by not having set the clock to the correct time zone and automatic setting of the time zone was switched off! Maybe check these settings...!

    Hello,

    Do you possibly have an iOS device you can try to register with FaceTime? Does that come up with the same error when putting in your Apple ID?

    Works perfectly fine on my iPhone.
    I called Apple and told me they couldn't help unless I pay 20.00 for Apple care/30 days? I was just going to do it since I FT daily.

    I tried doing what the PP told me about the clock and that didn't work either. Bummer! :(
