i just bought the iwork 08, but as luck has it i will be getting iwork 09 for free because of awesome customer service.

since i wont have a need for iwork 08 i figured i would just give it to a friend. i called apple to verify that it was legal for me to do, and he told me that since i bought the retail version, as long as i delete it, i can give it to whoever i want since i bought it, it is mine.

he also said he was surprised at the call, saying he was there 3.5 years and has never had a call like that.

i asked him if there was any way to unregister it in my name once i delete it and he told me no. i dont want any troubles, so i was wondering if i should call back and verify this or get something in writing.

has anyone done this before? i am trying to keep everything 100% legal which is why i called apple, but i cant help but think i should try to get something in writing.
