Glance and notifications

Just a newbie having had my Apple Watch just 2 two days.

Anyways...

How does the glance function and notification works?

Will I only get notifications on my watch and having them show up in "glance view" when my phone is locked and not active?

Glances are mini apps you can open fast.

Notifications are different - if you are not using your iPhone then all notifications go to the watch
