Before Apple does away with the port entirely, i think they will make the lightning port glass and the cable will attach magnetically to charge.

Glass and Magnetization? How do you propose that? So you’re suggesting something similar to like MagSafe?

Anyways, I doubt it. But will they eventually move away from lightning? I believe so, but time is it quite yet for that transition entirely.

I think it’s more likely IF they go down the all glass route, that’ll be when you end up with an iPhone with no port. Personally, I hate the idea!

Now the entire phone is glass, you can put screws in it. Glass will work as the antenna also no problem. The logic board can ground to the glass too.

Come on people :D :D :D :D

OP, this is an extremely funny post. I commend you for thinking out of the box.

They won’t need a glass port as they‘ll invent the self charging battery before:)
Or the logic board which lives on love and air?

The idea of Apple eliminating the lightning port altogether isn't feasible as of yet. I think it’a ‘Doable’, but there’s no practical reason to eliminate the lightning port right now, not unless Apple has fully adopted wireless charging as the primary source for the iPhone without any wires, and that technology hasn’t evolved yet.
